"Ramsey has more to offer", Arsene Wenger

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes that there is much more to come from Aaron Ramsey and has backed the Welshman to reach double figures in goals scored this season.

Ramsey has two goals to his name so far and scored Arsenal’s winner in their 1-0 victory over Marseille in the Champions League in France.

The Welshman’s efforts have given Wenger cause to hope that Ramsey can push on as he seeks to become a real goalscoring midfielder in the mould of Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard.

Asked whether he believes Ramsey could reach double figures this season, Wenger was clear.

"Yes, I think he can", said the Frenchman to Arsenal’s official site.

"He has scored against Tottenham, against Marseille.

"He has that ability to get in the box and when he has a chance he finishes it.

"He has always had that since he started."

And Wenger believes even better is on the cards from the young midfielder.

"There is much more to come from Aaron Ramsey and I believe he can reach double figures."
